This is the song Dave Pettigrew and I wrote to cap-off our recent Habakkuk series. "Even If Not"-- the inspiration comes from Daniel 3:17-18, where three gutsy kids demonstrate an incredibly DEFIANT faith.
Faced with a painful choice to give up their faith or face the fire, they pledged their belief that God could spare them. But "even if not," they said, they'll worship him anyway.
In my Dad's ongoing battle with cancer, my family has learned a secret:
Painful situations have the capacity to either shatter one's faith completely... or jack it to a whole new level of trust in God's goodness (despite the circumstances).

Tim & Dave... what a blessing you have given so many people. This song touched my heart deeply on Sunday and I also hope Dave records a single soon. Don't keep this one hidden - it's perfection created from pain and will encourage many people to have an "Even if not" kind of faith.

Thanks for that beautiful reminder of how Sovereign God is and how limited our faith can be. This song reminds me of BLESSED BE YOUR NAME. It is good to be reminded that whether there is sunshine or storms in our lives, God is always there and worthy of our worship!

Wow what a Powerful Message. I have been going through really tough times in my personal life and really needed to hear this message to urge my will to continue, "even if not" when it comes to what I want in life. I thank the Lord for this message, it has strenghthened my faith.
