Tim Lucas I serve as Lead Pastor of Liquid Church-- a creative, come-as-you-are church based in NJ with friends all across the world (sup, Australia?). A lady once visited and said, "Never thought I'd enjoy listening to some Big Hair Preacher, but you're different."
I took that as a compliment.
BHP is all about the stuff I love-- my kids, God, life, our church, media, culture, and my lazy hound Percy.
I loved Pastor Tom's message "I Am Second" this past Sunday which really captures the essence of Cross-centered living. What happens when Christ takes first place in someone's life?
I am so proud of our butt-kickin' Creative Team and the "next level" video they recently produced-- "Without Wax." We filmed this little ditty in a few hours last Wednesday & I looooove their use of color, saturation, texture, & light to bring the concept of "sincerity" to life:
Huuuuge props to Jessica Bancroft & Joel Freeman for their artful work on this piece. While I cringe a little when the tool with big hair speaks... I love the cinematic quality they developed.
(Can anyone guess where we filmed it?)
This is one of the things I love most about my job-- working with gifted artists who have fertile imaginations & God-sized creative talents... J&J, you guys rock!
A lot of you have been asking about "The Miniature Earth" video I showed in last week's message. If nothing else, this underscores a simple truth-- we live in Oz.
Too often, religious people only try to be understood instead of also trying to understand. This clip serves as a gentle reminder for Christians to share their faith in a manner that's relevant to outsiders.
This is a funny little piece we shot for our big "Invest-&-Invite"
push at Easter. The funny part is that Tommy is our sound guy and this
literally was his first full-day of work... and we roped the poor guy
into starring in a video a la Office Space.
This is the video we created for the Easter Launch of Liquid Church in Morristown, NJ this past Spring. We took a risk and planted our brand-new campus at the Hyatt Morristown. It paid off: On Easter Sunday (April 8), we had 1,154 men, women, and children join us at Liquid to celebrate Christ's resurrection!
