The Kang Gang

I still remember the day very clearly, it was about nine years ago, and my dad and I were sitting in his car, when he asked me what I thought made Erica different from any other girl (I had been dating Erica for about 4 years then and was getting ready to pop the question).  But somehow my dad’s question caught me off guard, so I paused for awhile and then finally fumbled my way through saying in broken Konglish (Korean-English): “I’ve never met anyone who genuinely makes me want to be so much better (without the guilt)...but who also accepts me in all my worst (without the shame).  Dad, I just have to spend the rest of my life with her.”

And over eight years of marria ge and two precious daughters later (with a third on the way!) I can honestly say – Erica, sweetie, I actually feel those sentiments even more today.  Thank you!  And thank you, God!  Sweetie, you are a true gift from the One who knows me best!  And our girls are the perfect treasures from a Heavenly Father who knows our hearts – we have so much to be thankful for!  I love you so much, sweetie ~ I can't believe I get to do this life-thing together with you!  =D
