1 God…3 Persons…
God has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
1 Molecule (H2O)…3 Forms…
Two hydrogen atoms covalently bonded to one oxygen atom can take on various states including: Gaseous (vapor), Solid (ice), Liquid (water). These three states share the same one chemical property.
…is this a good illustration of the doctrine of the Trinity? Why or why not?
Extra Credit: Is this why we’re called Liquid Church??? =P

I think that this is an almost accurate description because both of them use a little bit of interesting logic. H2O has three components to it. God is made of three persons. One is not the other, but they are related to each other. Each of the trinity is God. Each of the forms of H20 is H20.
This concept has nothing to do with Liquid Church. Liquid Church strives to be living water for those who are thirsty for a different kind of life that only God can provide. Liquid Church believes that there is a trinity, but it has nothing to do with its name.
